The Ultimate Guide to 2025

Welcome to 2025, my friends new and old. A new year is upon us. I want to take the time here to remind everyone. This isn’t just another year.

It’s a new chapter—a fresh opportunity to rise above the noise and leave your mark. If you’re anything like me, you don’t just want to exist.

You want to make a difference. You want to create something lasting. You strive to level up in every area of your life.

I’m writing this because I know what it’s like to face challenges and come out stronger. Growing up as a military dependent, I had to learn resilience early.

My dad was deployed for most of my life. I grew up in Anchorage, Alaska. It is a place where both the environment and life itself teach you to adapt and persevere.

This post reflects what has worked for me. It also shows how you can apply these principles to your own life.

This guide will be your road map to excel in your career. It will also help you improve your fitness.

Master a new skill that you’ve always wanted to learn or simply become mentally tougher. This guide will be your road map.

Let’s dive in, shall we? The Ultimate Guide to 2025

1.) Mastering Sales: The Ultimate Life Skill of 2025

Sales isn’t just about closing deals—it’s about persuasion, communication, and understanding people.

You can be convincing a friend to try your new favorite game. (PAYDAY 3 is a great game, by the way.)

You will start selling a product or even pitching yourself in a job interview.

Sales skills are essential in ALL situations.

Take a personal story from me, I used to work in life insurance, entirely paid on commissions alone. I had to harness and sharpen my sales skills so I can eat that day.

I had to fall on several deals just because my sales weren’t good.
But with those failures, I learned.

I learned how to get potential customers to feel like a close friend.
I had to learn how to take “No”.

I had to sell.

Why This Matters:

Everything in life involves some form of selling. If you can’t communicate your value or ideas effectively, you’re leaving a lot of opportunities on the table.

How to Level Up Your Sales Skills:

  1. Learn to Listen: Sales isn’t about talking—it’s about listening. Understand what people need, and tailor your pitch to them.

Don’t let them ramble about their life. Be sure to listen to the critical concerns and issues you can help alleviate. Pick up key points and remember them.

    They like that stuff.
  2. Practice Persuasion: Start small. Convince a friend to watch a movie you love or try a new restaurant. Refine your ability to make a case.

  3. Master the Basics: Study sales frameworks like SPIN Selling or learn about closing techniques. These aren’t just for salespeople—they’re life skills.

Pro Tip: Read books like How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. They teach timeless principles of persuasion. They also cover relationship-building.

You can even read Way of the Wolf by Jordan Belfort. Yes, THAT Jordan Belfort.

2.) Fitness: The Foundation of a Strong Mind and Body

You have probably heard about a LOT of people going to the Gym at the start of New Years.
You probably have seen it on the News too (No, seriously). Then they end up quitting a week or two after.

But they don’t know the most important thing, chances are, you don’t either.
If you want to conquer the world, you need to conquer yourself first.

You NEED to strengthen your body. It does wonders and makes you feel good. Fitness is more than just looking good—it’s about building discipline, confidence, and mental clarity.

I started weightlifting at 18, and before then, I was doing P90X with my Dad at the age of 15. I was almost 300 pounds and 5’9 at the age of 13.

Let me tell you, it changed my life for the better.

There’s something powerful about pushing yourself in the gym, breaking through physical barriers, and seeing tangible progress. It’s also a mental barrier.

You CAN sit around and consume YouTube all day.

You CAN waste time you will never get back.
Or,
You CAN use that effort of doing nothing, into doing something.

It’s not just about the muscles—it’s about the mindset.

(That’s me, check out my blog on how to look like this.)

Why This Matters:

A strong body supports a strong mind. Fitness improves your focus, energy levels, and resilience.

Plus, the discipline you build in the gym carries over to every other area of your life. It improves your endurance and makes you feel more alive and awake.

I know that several well-known influencers who tell you exercising is a waste of time. Take a look at them real quick and repeat what they just said.

This guy says exercising is a waste of time. Do you really want to take his advice?

The correct answer is no. You wouldn’t want to take that advice.

Plus, EXERCISE IS NOT COMPLICATED.

It’s SO easy, the hard part is consistency.

How to Build a Fitness Routine:

  1. Start Small: If you’re new to lifting, focus on compound exercises like squats, deadlifts, and bench presses. These give you the most bang for your buck.
  2. Be Consistent: Progress doesn’t happen overnight. Commit to 3-5 days a week, and stick with it.
  3. Track Your Progress: Keep a log of your workouts. Watching your lifts improve over time is incredibly motivating. Strive with a goal in mind.

    I recently accomplished benching 315 before 2025.

Pro Tip: Fitness isn’t just for young guys. Whether you’re 18 or 50, it’s never too late to start.

Lifting weights is especially powerful for men—it boosts testosterone, confidence, and overall health.

3.) Music: The Art of Expression and Discipline

Music has been a huge part of my life. As a drummer, I’ve learned that music isn’t just about playing notes. It’s about telling stories.

It’s about connecting with people. It’s about expressing yourself. It’s a way to help you mentally focus.

Why This Matters:

Music teaches you discipline, creativity, and the ability to collaborate. Whether you’re learning an instrument or just appreciating great music, it enriches your soul and sharpens your mind.

How to Get Started with Music:

  1. Pick an Instrument You Love: For me, it was the drums. Maybe for you, it’s the guitar, piano, or even singing.
  2. Practice Daily: Even 15 minutes a day adds up over time. Consistency beats intensity.
  3. Learn from the Greats: Study musicians who inspire you. My favorites include The Who, Rush, and Led Zeppelin. Their work isn’t just music—it’s art.

Pro Tip: If you’re serious about music, find a community of musicians. Collaboration pushes you to grow and opens up new creative possibilities.

4.) Mental Resilience: The Key to Overcoming Challenges in 2025

Life is going to throw curve balls. Sometimes it’ll throw something that’s almost impossible to overcome.

The question isn’t if you want to face challenges—it’s how you’ll respond when you do.

I’ve faced my share of tough times. I navigated the challenges of college in my mid-20s. I also pursue big goals that seem impossible.

What got me through wasn’t just luck—it was mental resilience.

Why This Matters:

Mental resilience is what separates winners from losers. It’s the ability to keep going when things get hard, to learn from failures, and to push through discomfort.

How to Build Mental Resilience:

  1. Face Discomfort Head-On: Do something hard every day. It can be a tough workout, a challenging conversation, or learning a new skill.
  2. Reframe Failure: See failures as lessons. Every time you mess up, ask yourself, “What can I learn from this?”
  3. Stay Focused on Your Why: When things get tough, remind yourself why you’re doing this. Your purpose will keep you going.

Pro Tip: I personally treat life like a video game. Each challenge is a way to sharpen and upgrade my character. You will fail a few times. There’s no such thing as a perfect game. But with persistence, you’ll beat the boss.

5.) Leadership: Be the Person Others Look Up To in 2025

The world needs leaders. Not followers, not complainers—leaders. If you want to make a lasting impact, you need to step up and lead by example.

Why This Matters:

Leadership isn’t just about being in charge. It’s about inspiring others, taking responsibility, and making decisions that help the group.

How to Become a Leader:

  1. Take Initiative: Don’t wait for someone else to act. Be the person who steps up.
  2. Be Original: Have your own ideas and convictions. Don’t just follow the crowd.
  3. Lead with Integrity: People follow those they trust. Be honest, dependable, and fair.

Pro Tip: Leadership starts small. Lead in your family, your friend group, or your workplace. Every small act of leadership prepares you for bigger opportunities.

It doesn’t take much to follow, but to lead? That takes a lot more, especially if you want to be a true leader.

6.) 2025 is The Year You Become Unstoppable

This is your year. Your chance to level up, chase your goals, and build the life you want. But remember, success doesn’t happen by accident. It’s the result of consistent effort, smart decisions, and an unshakable mindset.

Here’s Your Plan:

  • Set Clear Goals: Know what you want and why you want it.
  • Take Action Daily: Small steps add up. Start now. 1% is enough to start.
  • Stay True to Yourself: Don’t chase trends or seek validation. Be your own person.
  • 1% is Enough to Start: If you only give 1% each day, you will improve gradually. Over time, you will be over 300% better than when you started.

2025 isn’t just another year—it’s your year to be unforgettable. Now, get out there and make it happen.

Final Thought: You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to keep moving forward. Remember, life is a game—and you’re the main character of your own story.

Play to win.
